The Exmoor Camera Club is a friendly social film and digital photography club, which includes D-SLR video, which is based in the heart of one of the UK’s most undiscovered National Parks by photographers.

Unlike some other camera clubs we focus on taking images together and improving our photography, not just showing them off. Each week of the year we hold members photography events on and around Exmoor, where members learn in a social friendly manner how to improve on their photography.

All our events are social and fun, meeting up in Wheddon Cross, Dunster or Lynmouth, on our return we share our images, knowledge and experiences of the event over refreshments.

Dark Skies
International Dark Sky Reserve

Did you know that Exmoor was Europe's first and currently only International Dark Sky Reserve. So each month we hold subject to the weather at least one Star Trail or Dark Sky photographic event for members.

 
eDarkroom Workshops

Workshops We also hold regular FREE* small group, classroom workshops for members to learn and improve on their post processing skills for Adobe's Lightroom and Photoshop, plus On One and Nik software - eDarkroom events details.

If you are unable to attend in person, we soon will be holding online workshops.

Club Competition

We hold an annual photographic competition, where members vote on other members images from their gallery, images must be taken at club events, with the most popular 10 images being put forward to the clubs annual competition. The winner receives £3000 worth of photographic equipment of their choice.

 
Club Discounts

We have put together several discounts / offers with local businesses, such as accommodation and refreshment providers so you can stay and eat locally with a saving of up to 25%. Just mention you are a Member of the Exmoor Camera Club when booking / ordering, then show your valid membership card when you pay.

 
Loan Gear

We have a small amount of gear, which includes backgrounds, lights, lenses, tripods and colour management tools, which we are adding to each month to loan to members of the Exmoor Camera Club. We do charge a small fee for this equipment, for example, X-rite color munki, we charge £1 per day plus any carriage if needed, you can collect and return on any club event. With all loan gear we need a credit card to authorise a deposit against any damaged or equipment that is not returned.

 
Special Events - SE

In addition to our weekly club meetings, we arrange special "limited numbers" photographic workshops, which are optional and may incur a small additional fee, for such costs as access to private building / lands or to a service provider.

 
Annual Trip

One weekend each year we organise a photography trip outside Exmoor. Each part of the trip is optional, you can join us on the coach, meet us there or explore parts of the trip on your own. Of course your partner /wife / husband is always welcome - SE.

 
Want to Join in?

Join the Exmoor Camera Club With photography events most weeks, sometimes two or three per week, being a member is the best way to enjoy your photography around Exmoor.

Current Membership fee is £76* per year (equivalent to £1.46 per week or based on 150 events a year that's 51p per event), and we also include a members t-shirt too.

If you are a couple living at the same address, we can offer joint membership at £86* per year and all children under the age of 16 years are free with an accompanying fee paying adult member.

SPECIAL OFFER - for a limited time and numbers of new members we are currently offering 12 months, 4 issues of the Exmoor Magazine included at no extra cost.

To reward your loyalty we promise if you renew your membership before it expires, you will always pay the same price each year. If your membership expires and you re join at any point in the future your membership fee will the at that year's price.

In addition to membership, we also offer day passes as you may be a visiting photographer to Exmoor for the first time or if you just wish to try out our events, you can do this too.
